Dêrik people bid farewell martyr Çiya's corpse


Hundreds of Dêrik area's people and its districts bid farewell the corpse of the fighter in the ranks of Self-Defense Duty Fares Ahmed whose nom de guerre is Çiya and who was martyred in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to his last resting place in the Martyr Khabat Shrine in Dêrik.

A delegation of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Rojava and North Syria, representatives of civil society organizations, political parties, the notables of clans, as well as hundreds of residents of Dêrik attended the ceremony.
The mourners raised pictures of the martyrs, pictures of the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, the flags of Syria's Democratic Forces and People and Women Protection Units.
At the shrine, the Self-Defense Duty fighters performed a military parade. Then, the commander in the Self-Defense Duty Jodi Beravi delivered a speech and talked about the resistance of the Self-Defense Duty alongside to the Syria Democratic Forces in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.
Furthermore, the Martyrs Families’ Council read the martyr's document and delivered it to the martyr's family amid the mother's trills and chanting the slogans which glorify the martyrs.
