Clash between HPG and ISIS group near Kirkuk

NEWS DESK – HPG (People’s Defense Forces) Press Office has reported a clash with an ISIS group near Kirkuk city in South Kurdistan territory.

According to the statement, a group of ISIS members attempted to infiltrate into an emplacement of guerrillas around Newafır village of Kirkuk at 21:20 on 11 January.

The ISIS group was forced to retreat from the area following a clash with guerrillas who noticed the infiltration attempt in advance.
