YPG fighter Kevin Jochim to be laid to rest in Karlsruhe tomorrow
NEWS CENTER – German YPG fighter Kevin Jochim (Dilsoz Bahar) who lost his life while fighting ISIS gangs in Western Kurdistan (Rojava), will be laid to rest in Grünwinkel Cemetery in Karlsruhe, Germany on August 22.
Dilsoz fell a martyr in clashes in the Şergirat village of Silûk town in Girê Spî on 6th July, 2015. He joined the ranks of the Rojava revolution in November of 2012, after which he took place in numerous daring battles and played an important role in the liberation of ISIS-occupied villages and settlements within the Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo.
The Turkish state held Jochim’s body at Habur Border gate for days, because of which his body was transported from Hewler city of South Kurdistan to the German city of Düsseldorf on August 14.
Democratic Society Centre of Kurdish People in Germany (NAV-DEM) recalled in a statement that Kevin Jochim’s body was delivered to his family only yesterday after being held by German authorities for a week on the grounds of an autopsy. NAV-DEM called for mass participation in the funeral to take place in Karlsruhe tomorrow.
